In his own words:
I’m an art nouveau artist who likes to blog about things that I find interesting: art nouveau tutorials, design, branding, social media, technology and health. I also draw hell of a lot. Alfons Mucha, Renoir, Caravaggio, Norman Rockwell and Tetsuya Nomura are my inspirations.
When I was six years old, my family and I moved from Manila, Philippines to Houston, Texas. From an early age, I’ve been steeped in art and design, and at the age 17 I did my first freelance design projects for my high school’s dance, theater, choir and speech clubs. I’ve gone on to do freelance design work and consultations with companies in the United States and abroad. My most recent design experience includes working with a private intelligence agency, consulting for a technology startup in the corrections industry and freelancing for a Houston-based marketing agency in the oil and energy sector.
He and his partner Ricky run Shiba Scream Studios, a logo design, brand identity design and vector illustration studio. Beside this, they specialize in print, web and motion design, animation, advertising, marketing, copywriting and brand strategy.

Jacob Cass is another design guru who has established his name in the industry through social media and self-promotion. He holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication (Graphic Design Major) from The University of Newcastle, Sydney, Australia and currently lives in New York, Manhattan. Apart from his own website, he also runs two other websites: Logo Of The Day & Logo Designer Blog. Multiple awards at contests and the testimonials you can find on his website prove the aforementioned details.
In his own words:
Hi, my name is Jacob Cass and I am the founder of ‘JUST™ Creative’. On this website you will find my personal graphic design portfolio (My design services are currently available for hire), as well as a blog on the main subject of graphic design which provides free graphic design tips, articles & resources on all subjects of design, ranging from, but not limited to; print design, logo design, web design, branding, typography, advertising & more.
I am self-employed as a graphic designer, specialising in the fields of corporate identity (logo) design, web design, print design and branding with the majority of my time spent designing and implementing marketing promotions for businesses such as logos, websites, letterhead, business cards, packaging and more.
In January 2010, I moved from Sydney, Australia to New York City, USA to begin full time work at Carrot Creative, a new media marketing agency specialising in media strategy, design & development. Although I am no longer with Carrot Creative, it was an honour to work alongside such talent in the office & a privilege to have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most vaunted brands… Disney, Nike, Red Bull, Coach just to name a few. Although this was a full time job, I still managed to do freelance design on the side during this time — commitment or addiction, who is to know? If interested, you can read about how I scored the job (via Twitter) at Carrot Creative.
After my sixth month stint at Carrot, I moved on to work at The Wonder Factory, a interactive design studio based in Chelsea, New York for another few months. I then moved on to work for Alexander Interactive for 4 months and then onto OpenSky for 4 months and I am now at Ammirati working as an Interactive Designer, while also taking on my own personal freelance clients. Clients I work with at Ammirati include OMEGA Watches, Streetfighter (Capcom) & Jerry Seinfeld.

Nick Campbell is the founder of Greyscalegorilla.com and a talented guru embracing motion design, animation and photography. He is a source of inspiration worth checking out. About Nick Campbell in his own words:
Hi, I’m Nick. I grew up a nerd in Detroit, the oldest son of a fireman and a roller skating teacher. In middle school, I won first prize on America’s Funniest Videos with my impression of Edward Scissorhands imitating Michael Jackson. It earned me $10,000, a girlfriend for a week, and, not surprisingly, very few cool points with my friends.
I landed a string of pretty silly jobs as a magic trick-yo-yo salesman, roller skate rink-wedding DJ, and one of those snobby record store employees. My love for audio engineering, Protools, and Macs crossed paths with a short animated film and my new passion for Motion Design was born.
I studied design, film and animation at the Illinois Institute of Art Chicago and ended up at Digital Kitchen Chicago where I worked on TV commercials and title sequences for Target, Dexter and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. You can see this work at my personal creative portfolio,CreamyOrange.
While studying and working, I started Greyscalegorilla/blog, a personal blog to talk about design and education. This has quickly become one of the leading sites to learn about motion graphics and 3D software bringing over 20,000 visitors per day. Nutty, right?
In 2009, I left Digital Kitchen to start an iPhone Photo App company and to focus more time creating tutorials and designing products for Greyscalegorilla. You can see my random bloggy-blog stuff at Quick Multiball or watch me pretend to be a musician over at CampbellandMonson. Lately, I’ve been speakingto creative types at places like SXSW, SCAD, OFFF, and Hyper Island about how to end up with a job doing work you love to do.
I work in Chicago where I drink a lot of craft beer, play a lot of pinball, listen to a lot of podcasts and live with my super hot and talented wife.
